Are you motivated by the idea of establishing a new specialist unit and actively shaping its direction, collaboration, and impact? Would you like to consolidate expertise, strengthen cross-departmental cooperation, and develop effective solutions for the operational teams together with your team? Then we should get to know each other.

As Head of the Life Benefits Specialist Unit, you will strengthen the Claims business area at Zurich Switzerland in the Claims Life sector and make an important contribution to our shared success. You will lead the newly created Life Benefits Specialist Unit and further develop its tasks, collaboration, and impact together with the teams in Individual Life and Group Life. You will be responsible for the specialist and operational support in Group Life, build up the specialist and operational support for Individual Life, and merge the previous Centre-of-Competence functions. In doing so, you will ensure that process documentation, case discussions, training, knowledge management, specialist controlling, reporting, and projects interact effectively across teams.

What to expect

• You lead the Life Benefits Specialist Unit and shape its structure, tasks, and collaboration with all areas of Life Benefits.
• You consolidate the specialist and operational support in Group Life and build up the specialist and operational support in Individual Life.
• You ensure process documentation, professional standards, governance structures, and knowledge management and ensure their uniform application.
• You manage case discussions, training, specialist controlling, and reporting and derive concrete improvements for the teams.
• You lead cross-departmental projects and strengthen collaboration with internal partners.

What distinguishes you

• Experience in the further development of processes, professional standards, and knowledge management
• Experience in leading employees or in a comparable professional leadership role
• Solid experience in benefits management in social and/or private insurance sectors
• Structured, solution-oriented, and implementation-strong working style
• Strong communication and collaboration skills as well as very good German language skills
