Job objective Overall responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the areas of purchasing, production planning and logistics, including goods receipt, goods issue and internal transport at the site. Development and implementation of efficient processes to ensure cost optimisation, delivery performance and high customer satisfaction in line with corporate objectives.
Leadership tasks
- Leadership and motivation of the teams in purchasing, production planning, logistics, master data and artwork & cylinder management.
- Ensuring an efficient organisational structure and clear responsibilities.
- Promotion of employee development, talent management and change management processes.
- Strategic alignment and further development of all site-specific supply chain processes in line with corporate objectives.
- Close cooperation with other management areas, the business unit, the business group and other central corporate areas and functions.
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal compliance guidelines in purchasing and logistics.
Main tasks
- Responsibility for material availability and production planning to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Monitoring of production plans taking into account capacities and resources
- Analysis and forecasting of material requirements to ensure optimal production supply.
- Control and optimisation of purchasing processes, including supplier management and cost control.
- Development and maintenance of supplier strategies to ensure quality, cost and delivery reliability.
- Risk management for supply chains, including contingency plans and securing critical materials.
- Monitoring and improvement of logistics processes (goods receipt, goods issue, internal transport).
- Implementation and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) for performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Budget planning and cost optimisation in all responsible areas.
- Development and implementation of digitalisation and automation projects in the supply chain.
- Introduction and support of sustainable procurement and logistics strategies (e.g. CO₂ reduction, circular economy).
- Optimisation of inventory levels and reduction of excess stock
- Conducting cost analyses and deriving measures to reduce costs.
Special tasks
- Deputy to the Plant General Manager
- Management of cross-departmental projects to increase efficiency and harmonise processes.
- Representation of the company towards strategic partners and in relevant networks.
