Wila in the Töss Valley, with over 2200 inhabitants, is a popular residential community in an attractive local recreation area. The current postholder will retire in spring 2027. Therefore, we are looking for an initiative, competent, and personally convincing individual for our small, customer- and service-oriented administrative team from 1 March 2027 or by arrangement as

Head of Social Services (80%)

Your main tasks

• Professional management of the Social Services Office
• Clarifications and consultations, support for social assistance recipients
• Management of files, responsibility for the implementation of statutory financial assistance
• Coordination tasks in the accommodation and care of asylum seekers
• Collaboration with various specialist agencies (social services, schools, Spitex, KESB, etc.)
• Contact point for child, youth and family matters, specialist office for the elderly
• Drafting applications, secretariat of the social authority, implementation of resolutions
• Participation in projects and working groups, partly including minute-taking
• Budgeting and cost control within the area of responsibility
• Involvement in apprentice training

Your profile

• Several years of professional experience, ideally in a comparable roleWillingness to acquire any missing knowledgeVery good IT user skillsFluent German, both spoken and written
• Social and advisory competence as well as the ability to communicate clearly, consistently and respectfully even in demanding situations
• Enjoyment in contact with people
• Independence, flexibility, resilience and the ability to set boundaries
