Who we are

Ryf AG specialises in the sale and maintenance of microscopes, optical systems and measurement technology. Our solutions are used in industry, quality control, medtech, biology, research and education. We work with leading manufacturers such as Nikon and Olympus.

What it’s about

• You maintain, clean and repair stereo and biological microscopes, digital microscopes as well as devices for basic measurement technology.
• You deliver systems, install them and commission them at the customer’s site.
• You systematically analyse faults and carry out defined repairs, functional tests and simple calibration tasks.
• You create service, test and measurement protocols and document your work promptly.
• You conduct basic training and clearly explain the operation and care of their devices to our customers.
• You coordinate your assignments closely with our professional scheduling and the service team.

What you bring

• A technical basic education, for example in polymechanics, automation, electronics, mechatronics or a comparable field – or equivalent practical experience
• Basic technical knowledge in mechanics or electronics
• Enjoyment of precise work, structured fault finding and direct customer contact
• Confident use of Windows and digital work tools.
• Very good German skills and technical English; French is an advantage
• Driving licence category B and willingness to travel regularly throughout Switzerland
• Independent, careful and reliable working style as well as willingness to learn new things

What to expect

• Structured training with supervised practical assignments so that after about six months you can independently carry out defined simple service tasks
• External basic training in biology and measurement technology
• A personal company vehicle which you may also use privately
• Support from professional scheduling and a committed team of specialists
• Continuous internal and external further training
• Five weeks’ holiday, informal culture across all levels and regular company events (e.g. after work meetings)
• Own professional fitness room, chill-out room with billiards and table football at the headquarters in Grenchen

Good to know

• Your base is Grenchen; your service assignments take you to customers throughout Switzerland.
• Overnight stays away from home are part of the role. Depending on the deployment plan, their extent varies; over the whole year, about 30–50% of working days are to be expected.
• During company holidays, you participate in the on-call service according to the deployment plan.
• Occasional moving and positioning of equipment is part of the job. We use suitable aids and comply with applicable safety regulations.
