About the job
Arxada is a globally active speciality chemicals company committed to solving the world’s toughest challenges in preservation through better science. With a proud history of innovation spanning more than a century, we aim to help our customers develop more sustainable solutions that protect and preserve human health and wellbeing and extend the lifespan of vital infrastructure, while working to reduce our own environmental footprint and that of our customers.
Sustainability is one of our top priorities. We make significant strategic investments that not only reduce our own environmental footprint but also help our customers adapt to long-term environmental and social change by developing cleaner and more environmentally friendly solutions.
For our Visp site within the C2 network, we are seeking a technically skilled individual with 3–5 years of professional experience who is willing to familiarise themselves with a production facility for the feed & food industry (vitamins, fragrances and flavourings) and, in the medium term, increasingly take on leadership responsibility for two Production Supervisors (operations assistants). This development will be gradual – depending on your skills and personal growth.
Your tasks
During the induction and development phase:
- Familiarisation with daily operations, troubleshooting and ongoing investment projects
- Participation in ensuring stable and efficient production processes
- Support with root cause analyses (e.g. RCA) and operational improvements
- Active involvement in improvement and investment projects
- Close collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and other interfaces
With growing experience, increasingly:
- Technical and disciplinary leadership of two Production Supervisors
- Promotion of a strong team culture as well as its professional and social development
- Co-responsibility for safety, quality, plant availability and delivery capability
- Ensuring compliance with HSE, quality and compliance requirements
Your profile
- Basic training in the field of thermal-physical separation processes (e.g. process engineering, chemical engineering with the corresponding focus or comparable practical training) – mandatory requirement
- 3–5 years of professional experience in chemical production or process industry
- Genuine interest in mastering daily operations initially, integrating into the team and developing professionally and socially before taking on leadership tasks
- Potential and motivation to take on leadership responsibility in the medium term – initial leadership experience is an advantage but not a prerequisite
- Willingness to be on call and residence near the Visp site
- Very good communication skills in German; good English skills are an advantage
- Structured, solution-oriented and pragmatic working style
- Interest in a medium- to long-term collaboration to contribute sustainably and creatively to the mature processes
What we offer you
- A challenging specialist role with a clear development prospect towards leadership
- A structured induction with sufficient time to thoroughly get to know the plants and processes
- An environment that lives safety, innovation and continuous improvement
- Development opportunities in a technologically demanding production environment
- Collaboration in an international group contributing to industries such as Food, Feed and Aerospace
