Aarau, as the cantonal capital – centrally located between Zurich, Basel, and Bern – is an important economic, cultural, and educational center with a supraregional impact. As a future-oriented and modern employer, the City of Aarau relies on motivated employees.

The Regional Civil Registry Office Aarau is responsible for ten municipalities with around 76,000 inhabitants. Among other things, it is responsible for the certification of civil status and additionally manages the funeral office for the City of Aarau.

Your main tasks

Customer advice on all matters of civil status and funeral services

Certification of births, child acknowledgments, marriage and death, etc.

Organizing and conducting weddings

Organization of funerals and advising relatives

Assistance with projects / responsibility for special tasks
