About the job
At Endress+Hauser, progress happens through collaboration. As a world-leading provider of measuring instruments, our approximately 17,000 employees shape the future in the field of process automation. Whether innovating and implementing new technologies as a team, collaborating in the development of new devices, or strengthening important relationships with various global industries: our work is based on building trusting relationships that help everyone succeed. As a family-run company, we look beyond short-term goals and work to create a future-oriented vision for our employees, our customers, and the world in general.
We are looking for a committed individual for an internship as an Industrial Software Engineer (m/f/d) to complement our global team and actively help shape digitalisation in the industrial environment. In this role, you will contribute to further developing software solutions that create real added value in production and engineering and make processes simpler, more efficient, and future-proof.
What is the role about?
Do you want to develop software that makes a tangible difference in an industrial environment? Are you excited to translate technical requirements into practical solutions together with different specialist departments? And are you keen to work on applications that make data usable and advance digitalisation in production? Then an exciting internship awaits you, where you can contribute your knowledge, learn new things, and work on tasks that indirectly impact the daily lives of many people.
What tasks will you take on?
You will:
- participate in the design and development of software solutions in the industrial environment.
- analyse and further develop existing tools and applications.
- design new solutions for processing product, configuration, or manufacturing data.
- implement software components, such as backend services or web applications.
- clarify and implement requirements together with internal stakeholders, for example from engineering or production.
- contribute to the automation and digitalisation of processes in production.
What do we expect from you?
You:
- are studying computer science or a comparable course, ideally related to software engineering, web technologies, or similar topics.
- have gained initial practical experience in software development, for example in projects, during your studies, or in internships.
- bring initial knowledge of common programming languages or frameworks and are interested in modern web technologies in frontend or backend.
- have an interest in technical systems and industrial applications; knowledge of APIs or data processing is an advantage.
- communicate confidently in German or English, both spoken and written.
- work carefully and independently, take responsibility, are open to new things, and learn quickly.
What can you expect from us?
- We are a family-run, committed company with a sustainable vision.
- We promote lifelong learning with diverse training and development opportunities, internal knowledge transfer, and e-learning.
- We support work-life balance with flexible working hours.
- We offer support for sustainable mobility solutions such as public transport.
