For the expansion of our team, we are seeking to hire in Geneva (Satigny) a dynamic and motivated Thermo-Mechanical R&D Engineer.
Main tasks:
- You are in charge of the mechanical and thermal design development and validation of electro-mechanical components for DC medium voltage for the safety, protection and reliability of railway and renewable energy industries.
- You are in charge of multiphysics simulations, with emphasis on cooling / heat transfer.
- You are able to develop products from initial concept feasibility studies, perform finite element analysis, carry out prototyping as well as validation tests till certification and product launch.
- You manage industrialization, product improvements and existing product maintenance.
- You will be a
- Master or Bachelor in the field of mechanics, energy or electro-mechanical engineering.
- Experience developing complex systems involving different technologies (in particular thermal, mechanical, electrical, magnetic).
- Experience as a key player in inventing advanced concepts and solving critical issues.
- 2-3 years successful experience as a designer for electromagnetic devices, experience within the railway / power distribution industries is welcome.
- Experience testing and validating in accordance with international standards is an advantage.
- Fluency in French or English.
- Knowledge of 3D CAD modelling (Solidworks is an advantage).
- Knowledge of finite element analysis (thermal, multi-physics, stress analysis).
- Knowledge of Reporting and technical documentation.
- Electro-magnetism knowledge would be an asset.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Accurate, precise, with an appreciation of the importance of details.
