The Cantonal Social Office (KSA), which is responsible in the Canton of Fribourg in particular for the management, coordination and supervision of the asylum and refugee system (AsylG), is looking for a research associate from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement, 60–70% for a fixed-term position until 31.12.2027 (extendable). Your tasks
- Collaboration in the coordination and development of the cantonal system for the reception, care, integration and accommodation of persons from the asylum and refugee sector as well as its supervision
- Monitoring of assignments in the asylum and refugee sector, in cooperation with contractors as well as the relevant departments and offices
- Handling complex situations requiring a holistic and coordinated approach involving various actors
- Participation in the coordination of projects and the implementation of scientific work of the office, especially within the framework of service contracts, consultations and the handling of parliamentary initiatives
- Contribution to the further development of the office's scientific expertise regarding the asylum and refugee sector
Desired profile
- Master's degree in social work or law or equivalent qualification with good knowledge of social assistance regulations and their application
- Knowledge in the fields of migration and integration
- Experience in the asylum sector is an advantage
- Dynamic and versatile personality with organisational and coordination talent, good knowledge of legal bases, a flair for numbers, communication skills and good team spirit
- Confident use of common IT programmes
- Excellent command of German or French with very good knowledge of the other language, English skills desirable
