In this newly created key position, you identify and develop new growth areas for Trafag beyond our current core business. You recognise market potentials, validate business opportunities and develop sound business cases from them. Together with innovation, product management, sales and technology, you create the foundation for the next generation of our company.
- You identify, evaluate and prioritise new business opportunities and build a sustainable opportunity pipeline
- You analyse markets, customer needs and competitors, recognise trends and derive new business opportunities from them
- You develop robust business cases and prepare investment decisions for new growth areas
- You work closely with innovation, product management, sales and technology and actively contribute the market and customer perspective
- You establish and further develop methods and processes for systematic business development
- You hold an MSc or PhD in engineering or natural sciences; an MBA is an advantage
- You bring several years of professional experience in business development, product management or technical sales in an industrial company
- You combine analytical thinking with entrepreneurial intuition and can make sound decisions even under uncertainty
- You are a curious, communicative personality with strong networking skills and convince through your ability to bring together different perspectives
- You communicate fluently in German and English
- A strategically important role with great scope for design and direct influence on the future of Trafag
