The Centre for Social Affairs is one of the largest associations of its kind in Switzerland. On behalf of 28 municipalities with a catchment area of over 100,000 people, we work with great commitment, low-threshold access, and networking in the following areas: Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB), professional guardianship, social counselling, mother and father counselling, addiction counselling, and school social work.
Deputy Head of Department Social Counselling
The Social and Addiction Counselling Department operates polyvalently and offers a wide range of counselling services. These include personal and economic social assistance, youth and educational counselling, budget and debt counselling, assessments for municipalities and in the area of child protection for the KESB, as well as addiction counselling. The department also includes school social work in eleven municipalities.
Your tasks
Overall operational responsibility
- Co-responsibility for cross-site collaboration and the integration of the department within the Centre for Social Affairs
- Co-decision-making in operational matters
- Active participation in operational development and quality management, as well as relationship maintenance and professional exchange with the member municipalities of the Hochdorf region
Personnel responsibility
- Personnel management of the social counselling team at the Hochdorf site
- Participation in personnel and team development
- Conducting probationary, employee, and final interviews
- Professional and operational responsibility for the social counselling (SB) team at the Hochdorf site
- Professional coaching of employees
- Case management in polyvalent social counselling
- Responsibility for high quality, professional standards, and efficiency of social counselling as well as addiction counselling according to Quatheda guidelines
- Participation in project and concept work
Your profile
- Completed degree in Social Work (FH)
- Several years of professional experience in one or more fields of social work
- Leadership training (or willingness to complete it)
- High reliability and resilience
- Conflict and assertiveness skills
- Knowledge in controlling, quality management, and operational development
- Integrative, mature, and loyal personality
