About the job

Your Responsibilities
• Overall management of the Special Education Schools department
• Educational, personnel and financial leadership of the Special Education School Zurich
• Further development of the schools in cooperation with the school management of the Special Education School Dielsdorf
• Support and facilitation of interdisciplinary collaboration among all professional groups (educational and medical therapeutic staff)
• Participation in the implementation of the educational mandate and the empowerment of children and young people
• Cooperation with parents or guardians, external specialists and authorities
• Implementation of the cantonal requirements of the Zurich Cantonal School Office (VSA)
• Project management; including site search for "New Location" Special Education School Zurich
• Collaboration within the executive board committee

Your Profile
• Completion of an EDK-recognised basic training (mandatory) and school management training
• Sound knowledge in the field of special or remedial education
• Many years of professional experience in supporting children and young people with cognitive or multiple disabilities
• Knowledge of the special school sector of the Canton of Zurich and interest in current developments
• Motivating leader who is strong in communication, socially competent, and able to inspire with a clear leadership style, fosters ideas and values
