You are a strong leadership personality motivated to shape and strategically align a central legal department with around 30 lawyers? In this key role, you actively shape the legal expertise of WAS Lucerne and make a significant contribution to the sustainable orientation of our organisation. As part of the strategic realignment, the legal services of WAS Lucerne are consolidated into one department to act as a strong legal competence centre both internally and externally. The focus of your work is on social insurance law. Additionally, you will handle issues in other legal areas such as data protection, public personnel law, and owner-related matters. Your tasks

• You lead the legal department both professionally and personally, develop it strategically, and are responsible for the direct management of three team leaders as well as the secretariat and the indirect management of around 30 lawyers.
• Together with your team, you ensure efficient and high-quality handling of objections and complaints.
• You support and empower your employees in professional, organisational, and work process-related matters.
• You actively shape the establishment and further development of the new department and promote a constructive, shared team culture.
• You implement the strategy of WAS Lucerne within your area of responsibility and continuously develop it further.
• You advise the Services business unit management as well as the executive management on legal matters.

Your competencies

• You have a university law degree with a lawyer’s licence.
• You bring many years of leadership experience in a legal environment.
• You convince with strong leadership and social skills, assertiveness, and a high result orientation.
• You have experience in change processes and in the development of organisations and teams.
• You present yourself confidently, think strategically, and quickly recognise connections.
• You have a strong affinity for process optimisation, digitalisation, and efficient working.
