The Hospital Network AR
The Hospital Network Appenzell Ausserrhoden with the acute hospital Herisau and the Psychiatric Centre AR in Herisau ensures extended basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the canton and beyond.
We are looking for
In the MTTB department under the direction of Ms Jana Schmid, we are looking from 1 August 2026 or by arrangement for a specialist in surgical technology HF or a technical surgical assistant (TOA) for a workload of 80-100%
Your tasks
- Responsibility for correct and professional positioning in various specialist areas
- Independent preparation of all necessary materials for upcoming operations
- Provision and operation of technical equipment
- Assistance with pre-, intra- and postoperative tasks in the operating theatre
- Maintenance and care of operating tables and positioning materials

Your profile
- Further training as a specialist in operating room positioning care required
- Several years of professional experience desired
