Your tasks

• Independent handling of one of the following product groups: electrical engineering or machining/casting
• Preparation and conduct of price and contract negotiations
• Development of savings potentials and improvement measures including implementation
• Responsible coordination and implementation of supplier escalations within the scope of bottleneck management
• Implementation of product group strategies for own product groups
• Building and qualifying new and developing existing suppliers
• Conducting worldwide procurement market research
• Ensuring the availability of production materials for the business areas of machine tools, laser technology (including EUV) and power tools in cooperation with scheduling and quality management
• Initiation and support of supplier audits
• Support in the further development of (existing) systems/processes Leading or participating in projects
• Creation and maintenance of master data

What we are looking for

• Degree with a focus on industrial engineering or business administration or technical training with completed further education in purchasing
• At least 3 years of experience in strategic/technical purchasing in a technical environment (mechanical engineering, automotive, medical technology or aviation)
• Good communication skills, negotiation skills and assertiveness
• Analytical and entrepreneurial thinking
• Independent, reliable and precise way of working
• Sound knowledge of MS Office and SAP R/3
• Travel activity 10%
• Fluent language skills in German and English
