Data Engineer / Modeller 80-100% (w/m/d)

In this role you will be responsible for the implementation of methods and solutions to improve and strengthen access to data, data alignment, data reliability and quality. Responsible for analysis of data to implement and support data-driven business processes and strategic business decisions. Bring a wide range of technical skills to perform data analysis end-to-end, practical understanding of statistics, data visualization and presentation skills. You will collaborate with Chief Data Office and other stakeholders to implement the organizational data governance, data strategy, data management standards and principles, ensuring compliance and quality. Contribute to development of data models and pipelines for analysis, reporting and machine learning.

IHRE AUFGABEN

  • Apply data extraction, transformation and loading techniques in order to connect and align large data sets from a variety of sources

  • Identify business problems when working with stakeholders, formulate problem statements and find ways to apply analytics to provide insight into solving and addressing the identified problem

  • Deliver ad hoc reporting and analytics to help in day-to-day and strategic decision making, present findings with appropriate visualization tools, e.g. Tableau

  • Build self-service solutions for users to access and consume data at any time, either as simple reports and summaries, or as interactive analytical dashboards

  • Contribute to the organization’s data strategy and data management standards

  • Implement and ensure process compliance to Data Governance, data policies and related requirements

  • Contribute to the development of global Common Data Models that can be used to make predictions and answer questions for the overall business

  • Build data pipelines that prepare, cleanse, transform, aggregate and enhance large data sets from a variety of sources

YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree in Information Technology, Economics, Finance or other related fields

  • Solid experience with SQL and databases, so as with ETL software (e.g. Informatica, Dataiku, Alteryx) is a must

  • Experience with BI software (e.g. Tableau, Power BI), Python, R or SAS would be a plus

  • ML Ops practical experience

  • Fluent in English and German

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent understanding of data concepts within business context - data models, data flows, interfaces, data alignment, data quality, data distribution, data security

  • Understanding of statistical analysis, pattern recognition, predictive modelling and machine learning considered as preferred qualification.

  • Understanding of key business processes within the domain of work (e.g. Finance, CRM, Core Banking, Banking Operations)

  • Proven communication skill with the ability to decompose complex solutions and data insights into compelling storylines, align and co-create with employees and stakeholders across different business domains and management levels
