We are looking for a Head of Main Department Technical Quality (f/m/d) to join our team and ensure the highest standards of quality for our products and processes. In this newly established role, you will directly and indirectly lead the quality organization within the Technology main division.
What is the role about?
As Head of Main Department Technical Quality (f/m/d) you will directly report to senior executive leadership (Vice President Technology) playing an instrumental role to drive the implementation of the adequate tools, methods and processes to ensure highest standards of quality in our products and production processes.
What will you do?
You will:
- lead and develop the quality organization of the main division Technology including direct and indirect reporting lines, drive people processes (e.g., people development, succession planning) and foster cross-functional collaboration
- develop, implement and maintain the corresponding aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with relevant standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 17025, in close alignment with the global Head of Division Quality Management E+H Flow
- drive quality assurance for processes and global production equipment
- provide leadership and mentorship within the organization, fostering a culture of quality excellence and accountability
- manage internal and external audits, inspections and assessments according to the global audit framework
- drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reliability and performance
- improve the Quality Management System as a key stakeholder in the quality organization
- provide training and guidance on quality standards and best practices
- prepare and present quality reports for senior management
- stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes and best practices in quality management
What do we expect from you?
You:
- hold a master’s degree in quality management, engineering or a related field
- bring at least 10 years of experience in quality assurance, therefore experience in a manufacturing environment
- have several years of leadership and/or managerial experience
- bring solid knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 17025, IATF 16949)
- are familiar with quality methods such as FMEA, Advanced Quality Planning, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Auditing, Root Cause Analysis, Risk Management and Project Management
- have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
- are detail-oriented and committed to continuous improvement
- communicate fluently in English and German.
