Public Prosecutor 100%The Winterthur / Unterland Public Prosecutor's Office conducts criminal investigations against adults in the districts of Andelfingen, Bülach, Dielsdorf and Winterthur.
From 1 July 2026 or by arrangement, we are seeking your support in Winterthur to complement our team as a Public Prosecutor (100%).
Job Description
The focus of your duties is the initiation, conduct and conclusion of criminal investigations, whereby you have effective and efficient case management, meet the internal general and specific performance targets, represent prosecutions before the district court, lead preliminary proceedings and make decisions on case closure. You regularly perform on-call duties.
Requirements Profile
You have practical court experience and have completed the CAS Forensics course. You apply your very good knowledge of criminal and criminal procedural law practically and conduct your investigations systematically and efficiently. Formally, you are eligible for election as a public prosecutor according to the Zurich Court Organisation Act.
Your personal strengths include absolute integrity, discretion and high resilience. You are flexible and characterised by enthusiasm for new and unforeseen challenges. Decisiveness, assertiveness and a willingness to prosecute are among your qualities. You seek interdisciplinary teamwork and collegiality, benefiting from your high communication skills and diplomatic tact. Furthermore, you are willing to engage in continuous professional development and integrate yourself in project work.
