The District Court Dietikon is a first-instance civil and criminal court with around 45 employees. The Limmattal / Albis Public Prosecutor's Office conducts criminal investigations against adults in the districts of Affoltern a.A., Dietikon, and Horgen with around 45 employees.
As of April 1, 2026, we offer you the opportunity for an 18-month combined internship at the District Court and the Public Prosecutor's Office in Dietikon. The combined internship lasts 9 months each at the District Court and the Public Prosecutor's Office and is fully credited towards the internship required to obtain the lawyer's license.

Your area of responsibility
At the Public Prosecutor's Office: As an intern, you work in a team with a public prosecutor. You prepare and participate in interrogations. You also assist with legal clarifications, analyses of statements from parties involved in the proceedings, preparation of settlement decisions, as well as administrative tasks. If a case is concluded with an indictment, you assist in drafting the plea and accompany the public prosecutor to court. You participate in on-call duties, working closely with interface partners (police).
At the District Court: As an intern, you are an important team member and gain insight into all areas of activity and legal fields of the District Court. You support the court clerk responsible for you and work with all nine judges. Your tasks include preparing and attending hearings (including judgment consultations), taking minutes, case management, partly independent case processing, and drafting decisions. This provides you with an in-depth insight into civil and criminal procedural law, civil law (including family, labor, and tenancy proceedings, claims), criminal law, as well as debt enforcement and bankruptcy law.

- Completed law degree
- Very good knowledge of the German language
- Good reputation and legal capacity (criminal record extract & legal capacity certificate)
- Work experience (before/during/after studies)
- High integrity and discretion, teamwork skills, and service orientation
- Quick comprehension and independent, precise working style
- Good resilience, confident demeanor in dealing with parties to the proceedings and interface partners
