Scope
For the successful execution of plant construction projects (medium-sized to large projects) in the process industry, we are looking for an experienced project manager.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will use your organisational talent, communication skills, and assertiveness to drive projects forward. In addition to full budget responsibility, you are responsible for the successful management of the project team, the development of project and time schedules, as well as communication with all involved stakeholders.
You contribute to success by taking on the following tasks:
- Responsibility for the successful execution of large projects
- Definition of the project execution strategy to achieve project goals
- Leadership and management of the project team
- Main contact person for the client project manager throughout the project phase
- Initiating cost, risk, and schedule control as well as responsibility for project reporting
- Assuming safety responsibility in the project, ensuring compliance with EHS requirements
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures, standards, and guidelines as well as the required quality in the project (QM & QC)
- Setting up and establishing scope, change & risk management at all levels in the project
- Managing workflows and internal communication to ensure that relevant stakeholders are informed about project progress
- Negotiations with clients and partners (suppliers) as well as responsibility for contract management
You bring the following qualifications:
- Completed technical degree specialising in process engineering, biotechnology, plant or mechanical engineering, civil engineering, architecture or equivalent training
- Training in project management or PM certification is an advantage
- You have at least 8 years of relevant professional experience in executing EPCM plant construction projects in the process industry (biotech, pharma, chemicals or similar)
- Solid technical and economic understanding of project processes and contexts
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong team orientation combined with commitment, flexibility, and a hands-on mentality
- Pronounced assertiveness and enjoyment in collaborating with different disciplines
- Very good English skills, German skills are an advantage
- Willingness to travel
