Freight Forwarding Clerk Sea Freight Import & Export | LCL & FCL

Initial Situation

Sea freight is running smoothly: Import and export are developing very well. To ensure this continues, we are looking for a freight forwarding clerk for our client who keeps track of LCL and FCL shipments and enjoys working independently. You will join a small team where everyone knows each other, communicates directly, and works together.

Tasks

• handling sea freight shipments in import and export (LCL and FCL)
• organising and coordinating pre-carriage, main carriage, and on-carriage
• obtaining and calculating freight rates as well as preparing quotations
• servicing customers and developing relationships further
• preparing and checking transport and shipping documents
• communicating with customers, shipping lines, agents, and other service providers
• monitoring shipments and delivery dates and resolving discrepancies
• processing customer enquiries and ensuring smooth order processing

Requirements

• successfully completed training as a freight forwarding clerk or comparable qualification
• professional experience in sea freight import/export
• customer orientation, organisational skills, and teamwork
• independent, structured working style and resilience

IT Skills

MS Office - good knowledge

Languages

German: spoken and written very good
English: spoken and written good (>B1)
