To strengthen our team in Winterthur, we are looking for a motivated individual.
In this diverse role, you are responsible for the efficient planning, control, and optimisation of all processes along the supply chain. This includes operational and strategic purchasing, order processing, work preparation, as well as shipping, including transport management and exports. Operational purchasing of raw materials and merchandise is a significant part of your work.

Responsibilities
- Operational procurement of raw materials, merchandise, and project-related parts (recording orders, monitoring quantities, deadlines and prices, invoice checks, etc. for direct and indirect materials)
- Independent negotiation of deliveries and services for our production site in German and English
- Support and development of local and international supplier relationships
- Optimise purchasing processes and supplier selection as well as conduct annual supplier evaluations
- Ensure quality requirements in procurement and with suppliers
- Plan and monitor all logistical activities, including coordination of transports and export procedures, to ensure a smooth supply chain
- Close collaboration with other departments such as sales, work preparation, production, and logistics to ensure seamless coordination within the company
- Preparation of reports and analyses for supply chain performance evaluation as well as development and implementation of improvement initiatives
In this role, you are responsible for:
- Ensuring material supply (operational and strategic)
- Guaranteeing compliance with quality standards, delivery schedules, and cost targets
- Ensuring master data quality in the ERP system regarding products, purchasing, production, and shipping
- Developing and implementing supply chain optimisations and ensuring smooth operation of all processes
- Identifying risks and implementing measures to minimise risks related to the entire value chain
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, service providers, and other external partners
- Reporting to management on supply chain performance and recommendations for improvements
- Complying with all relevant regulations and laws in supply chain management and customs clearance
Qualifications
- Completed studies in engineering, business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience and sound knowledge in purchasing, order processing, transport management, supply chain management
- Good knowledge of materials and their processability (stainless steel, aluminium, alloys, plastics)
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving competence
- High communication skills and team orientation
- Resilience and ability to work under pressure and prioritise
- Very good knowledge of MS Office, ERP systems, and other relevant software tools
- Fluent in spoken and written German and English
