Who are we?
The KID is the inter-cantonal specialist conference for questions on integration, migration and anti-racism. It participates in the planning and implementation of Swiss integration policy and promotes the exchange of information and experience among its cantonal, municipal-urban and regional members as well as with other actors in integration promotion and anti-racism at all levels of government and with civil society organisations. The KID maintains an office. This is run on behalf of the KID by the ch Foundation for Federal Cooperation. The office, in close cooperation with the KID co-presidency and on behalf of the board, manages the association's affairs, prepares decision-making bases for the KID committees, organises meetings and conferences for the board and plenary, and is responsible for documentation and administration of the affairs. It has its office in the House of Cantons (HdK) in Bern.
Your tasks:
- Assisting in the preparation of matters for the KID committees (preparing decision-making bases, statements including preliminary clarifications and research).
- Assisting in the preparation and follow-up of meetings and conferences (content-wise, organisationally and administratively), if possible also active participation in meetings and conferences (including minute-taking).
- General assistance in the office.
Desired profile:
- Interest in questions of migration, integration and anti-racism as well as in networking. A personal migration background is considered an advantage.
- Interest in collaboration with different stakeholders.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in social sciences, humanities or law or comparable education.
- German or French as a first language with very good knowledge of the other language; further language skills are an advantage (especially Italian and English).
- Good analytical and editorial skills.
- Forward-looking, independent and goal-oriented working style.
