About the job
Company Description
With more than 13,000 employees representing 160 professions, the Geneva University Hospitals are a nationally and internationally recognised institution. To learn more about our organisation, take a few minutes to watch our 2025 retrospective by clicking here .
With nearly 1,200 employees, the Department of Acute Medicine (DMA) includes the anaesthesiology, clinical pharmacology and toxicology, intensive care, and emergency services. It fulfils a fourfold mission through its services, which provide expertise in frequent interaction with the entire Geneva University Hospitals, thanks to a transversal platform, aiming to ensure the best possible patient care.
The Emergency Service is a transversal service tasked with welcoming patients 24/7 regardless of the nature of their health problem, ensuring rapid and effective care to direct them to the most appropriate facility. The Emergency Service also provides urgent medical assistance at the cantonal level, coordinates and manages major incidents, while serving as a reference service for the canton’s structures.
To guarantee response in the event of a major incident or exceptional situation, the Prehospital Emergency and Resuscitation Unit (UPHR) is recruiting chief paramedics (ACS) to ensure the presence of a driving pair with the chief emergency physician (MCS) in case of a particular event.

You will provide continuous on-call service. Your hours are flexible and you may be required to work weekends, nights, or public holidays, both unexpectedly in the field and in command posts on a scheduled basis.
You will contribute to the operation of exceptional resources and actively help ensure their availability and functionality.
