About the job
Overview:
Our client is an independent and specialised institutional asset management company in the city of Zurich. To strengthen the product team, we are looking for a specialist with sound investment knowledge and strong implementation skills as:
Product Specialist (m/f/d), 100%
Your role:
In daily business, you ensure that reports, product documents, customer enquiries and RFP/DDQ processes are handled professionally, consistently and on time. As a Product Specialist, you independently take on central tasks at the interface between portfolio management, sales, marketing, legal/compliance and our clients. You coordinate the relevant stakeholders, set clear quality standards and continuously develop processes and content. At the same time, you communicate complex investment strategies clearly and support sales and portfolio management in selected client situations.
What you will achieve:
Product management & daily business
- You are responsible for the creation, coordination and quality assurance of regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- You manage and continuously develop product documents such as presentations, factsheets, RFP content as well as legal and regulatory documents.
- You are a central contact point for product-related customer enquiries from the sales units and coordinate the necessary contributions with the responsible departments.
- You independently manage RFP, DDQ and beauty contest processes – from kick-off through content coordination to timely submission.
- You create special evaluations and analyses of products, portfolios, performance and risks and prepare the results appropriately for the target audience.
- You create and update presentations for client meetings, roadshows, due diligence discussions, webinars and investor events.
- You coordinate product-related content such as market comments, investment updates and other sales-supporting materials.
- You take on support and coordination tasks related to sustainability, product-related data requirements and corresponding customer questionnaires.
- You identify automation and optimisation potentials in daily workflows and pragmatically implement improvements using modern technologies and tools.
- You take responsibility in cross-team projects and ensure reliable implementation in ongoing operations.
Investment and client support
- You explain investment strategies, portfolio positioning, performance and risks clearly, precisely and tailored to the target group.
- You support sales and portfolio management in client meetings, pitches, due diligence discussions and selected investor events.
- You develop convincing investment stories and ensure that the key messages are consistent across all client and product documents.
- You systematically incorporate client feedback, regulatory requirements and market trends into the further development of our products and investment solutions.
What you bring:
- Several years of professional experience (approx. 3-5 years) in asset management, ideally in product management, as an investment or product specialist or in a comparable interface function.
- Sound knowledge of investment products, fund structures, capital markets as well as performance and risk metrics.
- Proven experience in independently creating and coordinating reports, product documents, presentations and RFP/DDQ documentation.
- The ability to reliably manage multiple parallel tasks and recurring deadlines in daily business while ensuring a high quality standard.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex investment topics clearly, precisely and convincingly.
- A structured, independent and solution-oriented working style as well as a strong quality awareness with attention to detail.
- High service orientation, reliability and a confident manner towards internal and external stakeholders.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel, as well as a strong affinity for digital tools, automation and new technologies.
- A degree in finance, business administration or an equivalent higher education qualification.
- CFA, CIIA or a comparable qualification is an advantage but not a requirement.
- Fluent German and English skills in spoken and written form (at least C1).
- Team spirit, initiative, pragmatism and enjoyment of collaboration across departments.
What to expect:
- A responsible key role in daily product business with close exchange with portfolio management, sales, marketing and other departments.
- Plenty of scope for design and the opportunity to actively further develop processes, content and working methods.
- Short decision-making paths and uncomplicated collaboration in an entrepreneurial environment.
- An ambitious team that combines professional standards, reliability and a human approach.
- Flexible working models and an attractive, market-appropriate remuneration package.
We look forward to receiving your application!
