Pontacol specialises in the development, production and worldwide marketing of thermoplastic adhesive films. Pontacol is part of the Covestro Group. Our expertise in development, applications and consulting makes Pontacol the reference partner for the processing industry in the fields of textiles, electronics, ballistic protection and composite applications. As a contract manufacturer, Pontacol also produces special films for third parties.
Electricity is your passion – especially ensuring that the current flows where it should! You work directly on our equipment and support our team with your technical understanding, know-how and manual skills. As part of the integration into the Covestro Group, we are further expanding our maintenance team. Become part of our team at the Schmitten (CH) site immediately or by arrangement as:
Operations Electrician (100%), m/f/d
Your main tasks
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Carrying out preventive maintenance and electrical maintenance work on our production equipment
- Independent fault finding and rectification of electrical faults
- Performing simple initial and routine tests within the scope of your professional and authorisation competencies
Project work
- Assisting with new installations, conversions and expansions of equipment
- Collaborating with internal colleagues as well as external electrical specialists and service providers
- Supporting commissioning and optimisation of equipment
Material & Documentation
- Keeping an overview of important electrotechnical spare parts and operating materials
- Maintaining circuit diagrams, maintenance documents and technical documentation
- Documenting completed work and faults
Mechanical support
- Supporting the maintenance team with minor mechanical maintenance, repair and assembly tasks as needed
Your profile
Training
- Completed vocational training in the electrical field, e.g. as electrical installer EFZ, automation technician EFZ, assembly electrician EFZ or a comparable qualification
Professional experience
- Ideally, you already have the three years of professional experience required for the Art. 13 NIV permit
- Experience with production equipment is an advantage
- Good basic electrotechnical knowledge and confident handling of circuit diagrams
- Knowledge of control and automation technology as well as experience with drives, sensors or frequency converters is an advantage
Permit
- A permit according to Art. 13 NIV is an advantage
- If the requirements are not yet fully met, we will gladly support you in further qualification
