Psycho-oncology supports people with cancer and their relatives through diagnosis, treatment, and aftercare. We assist in coping with fears, burdens, and crises, advise relatives as well as the treating teams, and contribute with a well-founded psycho-oncological assessment to ensure that those affected receive appropriate support in a timely manner. Those working in this field take on a demanding and meaningful role at the interface of oncology, psychiatry, and psychotherapy.

• You accompany patients and their relatives on their often challenging journey – empathetically, attentively, and competently
• You independently conduct the psycho-oncological outpatient clinic
• You care for inpatients on the oncology and palliative care wards in a consultative role
• You regularly work at the Langnau site as well, ensuring psycho-oncological care throughout the entire catchment area
• You work closely with a dedicated, interprofessional team
• Your work is characterised by closeness, professionalism, and a deep understanding of what people need in crisis situations

What you bring:

• A specialist title as a federally recognised psychotherapist or advanced in training
• Ideally further training in psycho-oncology and experience in the oncological environment
• Empathy, resilience, and enjoyment of interprofessional collaboration
• The ability to respond flexibly to different situations – while being stable and reliable for patients and the team
• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
