Clerk in Accounting, fixed-term 80 - 100%Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for penal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance.
The Pöschwies Correctional Facility (JVA) is one of eight main departments of JuWe and, with 399 places, the largest closed JVA in Switzerland for male offenders. It fulfils a central state function and, according to legal mandate, is responsible for the resocialisation of incarcerated persons and the protection of the public.
For the Finance & Controlling department, we are looking for a reliable, independent and service-oriented individual with a strong team spirit to start immediately or by arrangement. The position is fixed-term until the end of September 2027.
Your tasks
- Independent management of client accounting – from bookings and reconciliations to handling payment transactions
- Support with various tasks in the general ledger
- Close cooperation with the cash office and other internal interfaces
- Checking, coding and processing of creditor invoices
- Ensuring professional and cooperative collaboration with internal and external partners
- Taking on deputy responsibilities within the Finance & Controlling team
Your profile
- Completed commercial training, ideally supplemented by further education in finance and accounting
- Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting
- Solid SAP knowledge, especially in the SD module, as well as confident use of MS Office applications
- Strong numerical understanding, quick comprehension and a careful, quality-conscious working style
- Fluent German skills in spoken and written form
- Structured, independent working style and a high degree of organisational talent
- Impeccable reputation (no entries in debt enforcement and criminal records)
