About the job
To strengthen our global team, we are looking for an additional, proactive and motivated professional to join our team as a Client Onboarding & Documentation Specialist in Zurich. This position sits at the heart of the business, working closely with Sales and Compliance, ensuring a seamless client experience. Working with many locations, like Lisbon, Frankfurt and France.
What you'll do
- Manage client onboarding processes, liaising with Sales department to obtain the required Know Your Client (KYC) documentation and ensuring compliance with internal client acceptance, due diligence and AML/CFT policies and procedures
- Conduct AML/CFT activities, including name screening, clarification of alerts, assessments and investigations relating to PEPs, adverse media and other potential risk factors
- Ensure client onboarding activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements and relevant financial market regulations
- Provide guidance and advice on client onboarding, KYC and AML/CFT-related matters
- Prepare internal client assessments, notes and documentation relating to onboarding, KYC and AML/CFT topics
- Plan and coordinate specific client reviews and periodic reviews in line with applicable regulatory requirements
- Contribute to various client-related projects, including assessments of new business models and the implementation of new systems and tools
- Manage the documentation and lifecycle of client relationships, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date client data
- Support internal and external audit activities, including preparing documentation, responding to auditor queries and discussing findings
What you'll need
- Degree in Law, Compliance, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, ideally in Compliance, AML/KYC
- Good understanding of AML/KYC requirements and financial market regulations
- Experience with international financial markets and regulatory environments is an advantage
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
- A proactive and dedicated personality with a strong team-player mindset and a willingness to take responsibility
- Ability to work independently on complex structures and high-risk clients, take initiative, manage priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, other language an asset
- Good MS Office skills
