To further strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced personality as an IBM Netcool Specialist / Monitoring Engineer, who will further develop and operate the monitoring and event management platform in a central role.

The platform is based on the IBM Netcool Operations Insight Suite and is actively being further developed towards modern, cloud-native technologies. The team combines development, operations, and product responsibility and works closely with various stakeholders.

Tasks

• Further development and operation of the Netcool-based monitoring platform
• Integration and processing of events (Omnibus, Probes, Impact, ITNM)
• Development of automations and scripting in the Netcool environment
• Setup and integration of modern monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
• Participation in modernization towards cloud-native architectures (OpenShift, Kafka, etc.)
• Development and integration of interfaces (e.g., REST APIs)
• Support in reporting, historization, and evaluations (e.g., Cognos)
• Collaboration in the BizDevOps model with a focus on quality, stability, and scalability

Requirements

• Experience with IBM Netcool (Omnibus, Impact, ITNM, Probes)
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as: Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Instana, etc.
• Experience with event management and alerting systems
• Know-how in scripting & automation
• Understanding of modern platforms and technologies (e.g., OpenShift, Kafka)
• Experience in integration and interfaces (REST APIs)
• Independent and structured working style
• Team orientation and interest in BizDevOps
• Very good German language skills, spoken and written

Work location: hybrid remote 80-100%

Duration: asap until the end of 2026 (with option for extension)
