The Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) is a globally renowned institute in the field of global health with a special focus on low- and middle-income countries. Associated with the University of Basel, Swiss TPH combines research, teaching and services at local, national and international levels. Around 1,000 people from 96 countries work at Swiss TPH in areas such as infectious diseases and non-communicable diseases, environment, society and health, as well as health systems and programmes.
At the Centre for Travel and Tropical Medicine, travellers from Basel and the surrounding area are advised before travel and treated afterwards. As a national reference centre for imported parasitic diseases in humans, it offers a variety of services to doctors and hospitals throughout Switzerland.
For the Centre for Travel and Tropical Medicine, we are temporarily seeking a replacement for illness, starting immediately or by arrangement, a
Medical Practice Assistant (60-80%)
for organising the tropical and travel medicine consultation as well as handling general administrative tasks of the outpatient clinic. We run a varied tropical and travel medicine consultation for both external patients and institute staff.
