System Engineer Linux (80-100%)
Do you want to take responsibility and make a difference in a dynamic IT environment? Then you are exactly right with us! As a System Engineer (m/f/d) you play a central role in the operation of our application, database and infrastructure systems. In close cooperation with your team, you ensure the stable operation and continuous further development of our currently Ubuntu-based, future AlmaLinux-based environment as well as our OpenShift platform and support our system administrators in 2nd and 3rd level support. The Linux command line is your home and you appreciate independent and responsible work in your specialist area.
We expect from you
- IT training (federal certificate/diploma, higher technical school, university of applied sciences or comparable work experience)
- Experience in the field of GNU/Linux
- Know-how in dealing with Ansible and Puppet is desirable
- Scripting languages are not unknown to you
- Experience with databases (MySQL / MariaDB, PostgreSQL or others) is an advantage
- You have expertise in at least two of the following areas: logging stack consisting of OpenSearch/Fluentd/Grafana or comparable technologies, monitoring, OpenShift / Kubernetes, Docker environments, load balancing and WAF/reverse proxy, web servers (Apache / nginx), DNS, PKI or Java application servers (JBoss, Wildfly, etc.)
- Strong service orientation, high independence and personal responsibility
- Willingness to occasionally take on on-call duty
