Job description
The Physics Section and its Department of Nuclear and Corpuscular Physics constitute a world-renowned centre for fundamental and experimental research in physics, notably in the fields of particle physics, nuclear physics and the study of the elementary constituents of matter.

Within the framework of a research project, the Department of Nuclear and Corpuscular Physics is opening a position for a
Technical Assistant 2
focused on physics laboratory work, or holding a diploma deemed equivalent, within the ITk project carried out in collaboration with CERN.
This position is offered for an initial period of six months, renewable for an additional period of two and a half years.
The appointed person will be mainly responsible for the assembly of highly technical silicon modules, as well as their systematic quality control. They will participate in all stages of the project, up to the final integration of the modules at CERN, and will work closely with members of a specialised technical team.
Required title and skills
Technical CFC (CFC as a Physics laboratory technician is a plus); good knowledge of metrology. Proficiency in computer tools. Knowledge of 3D CAD tools (such as Catia) is appreciated. Good command of English.
We are looking for a person demonstrating great flexibility and adaptability, autonomy, rigour and dynamism, able to take initiatives and manage priorities.
