For our versatile and effective corporate communication, we are looking for a committed individual with a flair for stories, media, and strong texts. Starting immediately or by arrangement, we are seeking a:

Manager Communication 100%

Your varied role

• Responsible for the local, national, and international media work of Interlaken Tourism
• Building and maintaining contacts with media professionals as well as supporting journalists on site
• Writing press releases, planning and managing media events, media trips, and other communication activities
• Representing Interlaken Tourism as a media spokesperson internally and externally
• Identifying and preparing current topics, news, and stories for various communication channels
• Managing and further developing Interlaken Tourism's own communication platforms
• Supporting and advising various departments on communication issues
• Responsible for coordinating and further developing Interlaken Tourism's sustainability activities
• Collaborating with internal and external partners on communication and sustainability topics

Our requirements profile

• Experience in journalism, public relations, or corporate communication as well as professional media work
• Strong editorial skills, confident German language skills, and very good English and French knowledge
• Enjoyment in writing and editing texts for different target groups as well as affinity for digital communication and contemporary communication channels
• Convincing and confident appearance as a media spokesperson, enjoyment in contact with media professionals and partners
• Strong communication and service orientation as well as sensitivity in dealing with sensitive topics
• Initiative, independent and solution-oriented working style, and ability to work in a team
• Organisational talent, flexibility, and resilience
• Willingness to occasionally work outside usual working hours
• Good connection to the Interlaken holiday region and tourism; existing media or industry network is an advantage
• Residence in the region is desirable
