The Secondary School and Vocational Training Office of the Canton of Zurich is committed to secondary schools, vocational schools, providers of preparatory vocational years, and training companies in the interest of youth and the economy. For the 2026/2027 school year starting on August 1, 2026, an internship position is once again to be filled at the Secondary School and Vocational Training Office.
Your area of responsibility
During your internship year, you will gain insight into various areas of the Secondary School and Vocational Training Office. The activities range from recording, checking, and processing personnel changes to providing telephone information to internal and external customers. Furthermore, you will assist with handling simpler personnel matters and support specialists in various administrative tasks. Another area of deployment is in finance, where you will post creditors from secondary schools, vocational schools, and the office. Additionally, you will assist in various projects, support mail and telephone services, or create presentations. You will also gain situational insight into other specialist areas to experience cantonal administration.
Your profile
You are undergoing HMS training and are interested in commercial activities in cantonal administration. You have good German language skills, both spoken and written, are IT-savvy, and experienced in using Microsoft Office applications. You think solution-oriented, have a quick grasp, and enjoy working independently as well as in a team. In customer conversations, you score points with your calm and confident manner. Furthermore, you convince with a neat appearance as well as an open, friendly, and pleasant manner.
