What you can achieve

• Assistance with the final assembly of the unique PATRIOT Maintenance Simulator (PMT) in Emmen
• Participation in an approximately 40-week training in maintenance by the manufacturer in Switzerland (training location Emmen)
• Support in building a team of 3–5 employees for BODLUV GR in the areas of training, maintenance and repair
• Checking, matching and repairing all air defence and simulator systems
• Detecting, locating and rectifying faults and defects in the air defence systems
• Working as an equipment mechanic at the Emmen military base as well as at the shooting locations of Brigade FLAB 33

What you bring with you

• Completed technical training such as polymechanic, electronics technician, automation technician or comparable
• Interest in becoming enthusiastic about the PATRIOT air defence system and passing on this knowledge as an important knowledge carrier
• Very good German and good English skills, both spoken and written
• Team-oriented personality with high commitment and initiative
• Confident and professional appearance towards our customer
• High degree of independence and personal responsibility, openness towards the Swiss Army

About the department

The air defence of the Swiss Army serves in particular to protect Swiss airspace and important objects against threats from the air. We are responsible as a support team for maintaining, repairing and servicing the technical area of the air defence systems. This includes, in addition to medium-range air defence, future ground-based air defence systems as well as modern sensors for detecting and tracking air targets.
Here in Emmen, the focus is on training and its operation, where we are involved as a small team.
