Your new tasks

• Design and development of fire alarm devices and platforms. The scope of tasks ranges from preliminary development and product specification to production launch and support of products in the field
• Bring your experience in hardware and embedded firmware development in an industrial environment to the team. In early project phases, you quickly create functional models and prototypes. In implementation for mass production, you ensure reliability, cost, and manufacturability. You master digital circuit design as well as analogue sensor technology
• Our products operate networked, via fieldbus and radio, and are represented in the cloud. A broad technical understanding allows you to collaborate successfully with the responsible teams
• You work in a team with colleagues from development, production, purchasing, sales, and customer support. In addition, you are in daily and intensive contact with colleagues in the global Siemens network
• You prioritise the team’s goal achievement and take on a wide range of tasks for this. This requires that you appreciate learning something new every day
• In consultation and if interested, there are various opportunities to take on further areas of responsibility

Your talents and experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a comparable field
• Several years of professional experience in the development of electronic circuits and software for embedded systems (C, C++, Python)
• Experience in development for series production: optimisation for high-volume production, cost optimisation, collaboration with purchasing and manufacturing
• We expect high motivation, good communication skills, structured working, and determination. You are ready to take responsibility and look forward to new challenges
• You see intercultural teamwork in a global company as an enrichment
• Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
