Legal Secretary 60 - 80%The Migration Office of the Canton of Zurich operates daily in the exciting political environment of all migration issues and the resulting tasks. It is responsible for the implementation of Swiss foreigner and asylum law, the Agreement on the Free Movement of Persons between Switzerland and the EU and EFTA states, as well as the Schengen and Dublin agreements.
For the Asylum & Enforcement Department, we are looking for a legal secretary 60 - 80% from August 1, 2026, or by arrangement (limited to one year with the option of extension).
In this demanding and versatile position, you are responsible for handling legal questions related to the enforcement of foreigner law. This includes, in particular, applications from provisionally admitted persons and persons who have been expelled, as well as the enforcement of removal and banishment measures and the ordering of foreign law coercive measures. You work closely with the department management and support them in all legal matters of daily business.
We are looking for an independent, humorous, and resilient personality under time pressure with a completed master's degree in law and ideally practical experience in public administration. With your very good writing style and pronounced communication skills, you bring further professional qualifications for this exciting activity. A confident appearance facilitates your internal and external communication. Initiative, commitment, reliability, pleasant manners, and a sense of collegial and constructive cooperation complete your profile. You hold Swiss citizenship.
