To support institutional change, the HR department of FernUni Switzerland aims to become more modern and digital. For this purpose, central HR processes will be integrated into the ERP system Odoo. The new HRIS Specialist will lead this integration. They will also ensure a structured management of HR data (Data Intelligence) and the central maintenance of HR processes in the sense of continuous improvement and quality assurance.
Your tasks
Main responsibilities
- Responsibility for the continuous support, further development, and optimization of the HR information system (HRIS) of FernUni Switzerland, which is primarily based on the ERP system Odoo and other HR applications.
- Interface between the HR team, IT support, and other users: gathering functional requirements, identifying optimization potential, developing solution proposals, and accompanying implementation.
- Ensuring the seamless integration of HRIS developments into the existing and future IT infrastructure – in close collaboration with the IT department.
- Supporting users with application-specific questions regarding the HRIS, in coordination with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Creating and maintaining HRIS documentation: process descriptions, functional specifications, and training materials.
- Ensuring data quality, consistency, and data protection in all digital HR systems and processes.
- Ongoing analysis and optimization of digital HR processes to increase efficiency and reduce processing times.
- Accompanying change management in connection with HRIS developments: internal communication, training, and organizational embedding.
Additional tasks
- Leading participation in the description, maintenance, and further development of HR processes in the institution's quality management system (QMS).
- Participation in cross-departmental HR projects for the continuous improvement of the service quality of the HR department for the entire institution.
Your profile
- Education: HR specialist certificate or university degree (at least Bachelor's) in Human Resources, Business Informatics, or an equivalently recognized qualification.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of HRIS and in operational HR work in a medium to large organization, with a solid understanding of HR processes and the employee lifecycle.
- Good knowledge of HR software and ERP environments; knowledge of Odoo is an advantage.
- Experience in project management, business analysis, and requirements engineering.
- Hands-on mentality and solution-oriented working style, with the ability to effectively collaborate with IT and non-technical contacts and translate their needs into technical requirements.
- Strong data affinity, careful and precise working style, analytical and networked thinking.
- Independent, proactive, and organized personality with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Very good oral and written communication skills in German and/or French, with a good understanding of the other language. English skills are an advantage.
