The Relief Department of SRK Canton Bern supports people at every stage of life. The care sector includes the services of visiting and escorting, relief for relatives and home care. These services serve to care for and accompany people as well as to relieve their relatives. The services are provided by both volunteers and employed staff.

For the Oberaargau region with the main workplace in Burgdorf, we are looking for a motivated and independent registered nurse HF as of 16 November 2026 or by arrangement

Registered Nurse HF as Specialist: Care, 50-70%

Your tasks

• You lead the visiting and escorting service regionally and, with a 70% workload, additionally the relief for relatives service organisationally and professionally.
• You are co-responsible for the further development of the service.
• You cover the telephone availability of the service on three to four mornings (8.30 to 11.30 am).
• You conduct telephone situation assessments, advise enquirers, recruit and support clients.
• You recruit, mediate and accompany volunteers, organise volunteer meetings and coordinate their assignments.
• You manage the files of clients and volunteers.
• You carry out the monthly time recording as well as periodic reporting and statistics.
• You mainly work at the Burgdorf location and travel for meetings with clients in Oberaargau as well as for meetings with volunteers at the Langenthal location.
• You work in cross-regional specialist and working groups and engage in public events as well as networking activities.

Your profile

• You have a qualification as a registered nurse HF and experience in elderly care.
• You have a flair for volunteer work and/or corresponding experience.
• You have very good IT user skills and are proficient in handling various file management systems.
• You bring experience in administrative tasks and strong organisational skills.
• You are characterised by strong communication skills and counselling experience.
• You know the support services of the health and social system in the Oberaargau region.
• You enjoy working in a team, are independent and think in a networked way.
• You show willingness to engage in change processes, are flexible and resilient, and keep an overview even in challenging situations.
• A private vehicle is an advantage for this position.
