Technical Employee Heavy Vehicle Control
Cantonal Police I 80-100% I Heavy Vehicle Control Center Unterrealta
The heavy vehicle control centers Unterrealta/San Vittore along the N13 make an important contribution to traffic safety on this central north-south axis. On behalf of the Federal Roads Office (ASTRA), the Cantonal Police of Graubünden carries out technical inspections of heavy vehicles and enforces the relevant regulations.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Technical Employee Heavy Vehicle Control by agreement.
Your area of responsibility
- Independent execution of technical inspections on heavy motor vehicles (traffic safety, legal regulations, technical manipulations)
- Inspection of load securing, weights, exhaust and AdBlue systems, as well as other safety-relevant elements
- Enforcement of the provisions of the working and rest time ordinance (ARV1/ARV2) and conducting ARV operational controls
- Sanctioning of detected violations and preparation of court-admissible documentation
- Technical support for the regional police and participation in training and further education
What we expect from you
- Completed vocational training in vehicle technology (e.g., automotive diagnostician heavy commercial vehicles, automotive mechatronics technician EFZ for commercial vehicles or agricultural machinery mechanic EFZ) or equivalent technical training
- Experience in technical fault analysis (handling diagnostic tools POBD/TEXA), or willingness to further train in these diagnostic technologies
- Knowledge of Swiss road traffic law (ARV1/ARV2) or willingness to familiarize yourself
- Driver's license C/E, reliability, high sense of responsibility and safety awareness
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form, solid IT skills
- Resilience, ability to work in a team, flexibility for irregular working hours
- Good knowledge of several cantonal languages and English is an advantage
