Assistant Physician Emergency Centre with Focus on Surgery 100%

About the job

You will care for outpatient emergencies in shifts in the fields of urology, orthopaedics, general and visceral surgery, and ENT, and perform minor emergency procedures such as nasal tamponades, wound care, drainage insertions (puncture/thoracic drains), and repositioning under the supervision of senior physicians. Shock room management as well as co-care of the orthopaedic, surgical, and urological wards during emergency events, e.g. at night under the supervision of the respective senior physicians, are also part of the role.

Start date 1 November 2026 or by arrangement

• Completed medical studies (Switzerland or EU)
• Good German language skills, spoken and written

• External year/half-year of outpatient interdisciplinary emergency
• Opportunity for further training SGNOR clinical emergency medicine 6 months monodisciplinary recognition
• Recognition as a training centre for surgery category A (4 years)
• Opportunity for rotation to a surgical ward
• Part-time possible, e.g. in tandem
