On behalf of an exclusive mandate from an established manufacturing industrial company with several locations in Switzerland, we are looking for a committed individual as Deputy Head of Dispatch.
In this versatile role, you will take on a central position in operational dispatch, coordinating drivers and vehicles and supporting the Head of Dispatch in daily business. You can expect a responsible position with a great deal of independence, short decision-making paths, and long-term prospects.

Your tasks:In this role, you will ensure together with the team that everything is in the right place at the right time in daily business.
- Assuming operational responsibility in the absence of the Head of Dispatch
- Professional leadership of drivers in daily operational business
- Operational dispatch and coordination of drivers
- Planning and dispatch of bulk and general cargo vehicles
- Receiving, recording, and processing orders
- Handling customer enquiries by phone, email, and via digital customer portals
- Leading and coordinating drivers in daily business
- Ensuring efficient vehicle and deployment planning
- Preparation of VeVA and ADR documents as well as ensuring relevant safety and environmental regulations
- Management and control of qualifications and certificates, especially CZV
- Maintenance and use of systems
- Maintenance of relevant master and transaction data as well as ensuring data flows around ARV, LSVA, and internal billing
- Organisation of load carrier management
- Coordination of vehicle administration including MFK, repairs, maintenance, and LSVA topics
- Active support in the further development of procedures and processes
Your profile:
- Completed commercial or technical basic training
- Professional experience in dispatch, transport logistics, or a comparable environment
- Good geographical knowledge of Switzerland
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written
- Confident use of common PC applications and enthusiasm for digital tools
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Strong customer and service orientation
- Communication skills and confident handling of different contacts
- Resilience and the ability to prioritise correctly even with a high volume of orders
- Team spirit, reliability, loyalty, and discretion
- Strong cost and quality awareness
