Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals and ranks among the best hospital institutions worldwide according to the Newsweek 2025 ranking. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in care, research, and training.
The Dental Medicine Service provides all dental care services (prevention, basic care, prosthetics, implantology, surgery, and aesthetic care) for adults and children. You will work in a motivated and multicultural team of about 50 collaborators, within 10 offices and a quality technical platform (varied care and prophylaxis activities, emergency appointments).
Mission
- You welcome patients, seat them in the chair, and create a climate of trust
- You answer the phone, assess the urgency of situations, and schedule appointments
- You prepare the dental unit, instruments, and materials according to the planned procedure; you assist at the chair (passing instruments, preparing filling materials and impression pastes)
- You perform X-rays under supervision and integrate digital images into the patient file
- After each patient, you clean, sterilize/restock, and disinfect the dental unit strictly following asepsis protocols
- You manage stocks (medications, dental products, consumables), place orders, and check deliveries
- You participate in the Service's activities (prevention, dental hygiene, minor emergencies) and contribute to the quality and safety of care.
Profile
- You have completed your compulsory schooling
- You are attentive, show tolerance and respect in patient relations
- You have manual dexterity, attention to detail, and impeccable hygiene
- You are reliable, rigorous, organized, and comfortable prioritizing in a dynamic environment
- You appreciate teamwork, know how to communicate, and respect medical confidentiality
- Fluent in French; a second language (English/German) is an asset.
