As an electronics technician for operational technology, you are a very important part of the well-functioning railway traffic. Because thanks to you, our trains can run and our passengers arrive safely and quickly at their destination.

From 16 August 2027, we are looking for you for the 3.5-year training as an electronics technician for operational technology (m/f/d) in the field of signalling and communication technology (SKT) for DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH at the Bad Kleinen site. The vocational school and the training workshop are located in Rostock.

This awaits you in your training in the workshop:

• You spend a lot of time outdoors exploring our rail network, taking care of the new, expansion and conversion of signalling and communication technology
• Installation of control and safety technology (LST), e.g. signal box technology, signals, point motors and level crossings
• Installation of telecommunications systems (TK), e.g. WLAN, radio systems, burglary and fire alarm systems
• Analysis and assembly of technical switching devices as well as professional laying and connection of signal cables
• Knowledge of measurement, testing and diagnostic procedures as well as their expert documentation

Your profile:

• You have (soon) successfully completed school and your school leaving certificate is recognised in Germany
• Your German language skills correspond to at least the B2 language level
• Different workplaces throughout Germany and working hours including night shifts are a welcome change for you
• You are handy and enjoy tinkering with electronic components
• You enjoy maths and physics
• You are definitely a team player and reliable
