Head of Social Work Department and Mandates at kjz Dietikon 80%Good for life– that is our motto. The Office for Youth and Career Counselling Canton Zurich, the administrative office for the districts of Affoltern, Dietikon, Horgen, is a cantonal centre of expertise offering professional support in the areas of family/youth and career counselling.
The kjz (Children and Youth Welfare Centre) is a polyvalent counselling centre for families, parents, young people, children and toddlers and operates on the basis of the Children and Youth Welfare Act of the Canton of Zurich.
For the Social Work Department and Mandates at kjz Dietikon, we are looking for a head from 1 August 2026 or by arrangement.
You will lead a committed team of 10 social workers and shape a sustainable team culture. In your role as department head, you will support your team in challenging case constellations and ensure the quality of casework. At the same time, you are responsible for the professional and personnel management of your department and actively shape its further development. Within the strategic framework of the AJB, you independently set priorities and contribute your professional perspective to overarching decisions.
You bring:
- A university of applied sciences degree in Social Work (mandatory requirement)
- Solid professional experience in child protection
- Leadership experience or willingness to complete leadership training
- Enjoyment in coaching and promoting employees
- Excellent communication skills and high social competence
- Decisive, resilient and assertive personality
