The district capital Dietikon is a vibrant regional centre and an important economic location in the rapidly growing Limmattal. The fifth largest city in the canton of Zurich has around 28,000 inhabitants and approximately 3,100 pupils. The Dietikon school currently comprises six school units. It has many years of experience in the field of special education and integration.
The Steinmürli school unit is located in the centre of Dietikon, within short walking distance to Dietikon station. At this lively QUIMS school we teach kindergarten and primary classes as well as a small class. A freely selectable daycare complements the offer. This school unit operates according to the educational concept of the new authority according to Haim Omer.
From 1 February 2027 or by arrangement we are looking for
Your tasks
• Personnel and educational leadership of the middle school
• Responsibility for the operational management and further development of your own area of responsibility
• Collaboration in team, teaching and school development • Further development and anchoring of the New Authority in everyday school life
• Close cooperation and shared leadership responsibility within the school management team
• Cooperation with parents, school social work, ISB, SPD and other internal and external specialist agencies
• Active participation in the school management conference of the Dietikon school
Your profile
• Basic pedagogical training and completed school management training
• Several years of leadership experience as a school manager, preferably at primary level
• Sound knowledge of the Zurich public school system, its structures, framework conditions and school support services
• Confidence in personnel management as well as experience in dealing with demanding leadership and school situations
• Experience in school and teaching development and in cooperation with various school and extracurricular specialist agencies
• Integrity, responsible and motivating leadership personality
• Strong team orientation and enjoyment of working in the school management team
• Structured, independent and goal-oriented working style
• Skilled communication ability, confident appearance and decisiveness
• High resilience and the ability to provide orientation and take responsibility even in demanding situations
• Good ICT user skills
