Your tasks
- Overall responsibility for the technical infrastructure as well as ensuring high equipment availability in slaughterhouse operations
- Technical and personnel management as well as further development of the maintenance team including deployment, resource and absence planning
- Ensuring reliable operation of all technical equipment through maintenance, upkeep and rapid as well as sustainable fault rectification
- Carrying out and monitoring technical inspections, especially in the areas of occupational safety, operational safety and legal requirements
- Active co-responsibility for reducing downtime and stoppages through preventive maintenance strategies and continuous optimisation
- Ensuring procurement and availability of spare parts
- Coordination and support of external partners, suppliers and fitters including planning and monitoring of external work
- Ensuring clean, complete and comprehensible documentation of all maintenance work as well as maintenance and management of our maintenance system
- Active support and participation in technical projects as well as in conversions, expansions and optimisations of equipment and infrastructure for the technical development of the operation
Depending on profile, experience and personal development, there is also the possibility to deputise for the Head of Operational Maintenance and thus take on additional responsibility at the departmental level.
Your profile
- Completed technical basic training with further advanced training in maintenance
- Several years of leadership and professional experience in a comparable role, preferably in an industrial production environment or in the food industry
- Experience in managing technical projects as well as dealing with investments and continuous improvement processes
- Strong organisational and analytical skills combined with an entrepreneurial and economic mindset
- High decision-making and assertiveness skills as well as a solution-oriented, structured and resilient working style
- No sensitivities to blood or strong odours
- Confident handling of maintenance and ERP systems, SAP an advantage
- Fluent German and good English skills
