As a Workplace Engineer, you play a central role in digital nationwide Out-of-Home advertising and all workplaces at APG|SGA. In the Digital Playout area, you ensure that advertising and information reliably appear on displays at train stations, airports, in buses, trams and trains throughout Switzerland. In the Workplaces area, you ensure a homogeneous, modern and lean client architecture, with which hundreds of employees serve thousands of customers daily. Your work is crucial for the operation and further development of the digital advertising platforms, which are seen daily by millions of people.

Your tasks

• You support and further develop the Digital Playout clients – mainly based on Windows and Windows Embedded. Clients with Linux are also included but are significantly fewer in number
• In addition, you support and develop the workplace clients based on Windows 11 for the entire company in close collaboration with specialised service providers
• You ensure that the deployed player hardware is compatible with operating systems and drivers
• You create and maintain Windows images, configure system services and ensure stable functionality.
• You develop and maintain batch & PowerShell scripts to automate and make processes more efficient (Intune packaging)
• You assist with network integration and work closely with other areas such as infrastructure and service desk
• You monitor the deployed clients and hardware, analyse errors and document the system landscape
• You participate in 1st and 2nd level support in the Digital Playout area
• You implement projects in the Digital Playout and Workplaces area

You bring with you

• You have very good knowledge of Windows operating systems and in-depth Windows 11 and enterprise client management experience
• You are familiar with creating images, configuring services and optimising functionalities (Autopilot, Intune, Entra Join, Compliance and Security Baselines)
• Experience with player hardware, processors and driver compatibility
• Experience in batch and PowerShell scripting to automate processes
• Basic knowledge of network technologies (e.g. TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP)
• Basic Linux knowledge is a plus, as well as good English skills to navigate confidently in a technically oriented environment
• Willingness to work in an agile environment according to SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and actively contribute to planning, implementation and continuous improvement within the team
