The Swiss Distance University of Applied Sciences (FFHS) offers part-time Bachelor, Master, and continuing education programmes using the blended learning method. For our approximately 3100 students, we employ 180 staff members as well as over 550 (part-time) lecturers. To strengthen the Department of Computer Science, we are looking for a
Head of Department Data Science (part-time, 30%)
Your responsibilities
- Content-related and didactic development and updating of modules in collaboration with lecturers and programme management
- Organisation, quality assurance, and further development of the department
- Networking within the Data Science community
- Leadership and support of lecturers in coordination with the programme management
- Sparring partner for lecturers on professional and didactic questions
- Organisation, execution, and participation in meetings
- Lecturing activities
Your profile
- Communicative, proactive, and engaging personality with a good dose of composure and humour
- Completed university degree at Master level in Computer Science / Data Science or a related field
- Excellent networking with the professional world and proven experience in higher education teaching
- Didactic qualification, as well as a strong affinity for e-learning or willingness to develop further in this area
- Committed and reliable working style as well as leadership responsibility
- Excellent German and good English skills
